Uniqso Review ♥ I-Codi Colors of the Wind No.20 Melon ♥ Circle Lenses on light blue eyes

Hey sweetiepies!
After I'm fiiiiinally done with most of the work for my university (I study social work) I am free again. Free!! Can't believe it, it has been so stressful the last months. But now I have the March to relax und fully get my energies back, and to think of some nice new reviews I could do for you all.

However, today I got another Circle Lens review for you! This time for a green pair, from a brand I tried out the first time: I-Codi. They have a huuuuuge color range with fantastic colors, but I always worried if they are not a little uncomfortable due to their fairly lower water content of 38%. And, was I right? Let's find out.

Short summary: What are Circle Lenses?

Circle Lenses are like usual contact lenses, just that their diameter is larger than the regular ones. Soft contact lenses are around 13,8 mm in diameter - Circle Lenses (which are btw always soft so they can contain more water) are often 14 mm, 15 mm or more. This makes your eyes look bigger and dollier. You can also play around with different designs and colours, so you have a great variety for makeup looks or cosplay characters. I personally wear them to enlarge my eyes because I think it looks cuter with the bold makeup I wear daily. Furthermore, they often have prescription, so if you're just as blind as me, you don't have to wear glasses, and they last about a year.

About Uniqso

Uniqso has a reeeally huge range of circle lenses, wigs, lashes, socks and cosplay items. They are founded in Malaysia and guide their shop since 2011. With over 800 different lenses from different brands like Kimchi, EOS, I.Fairy or Beuberry they are a big company with a lot of featured bloggers. I think they have really cheap prices and I heard that their wigs have a good quality as well. Moreover, their packaging is adorable, which is perfect for me since I love cute packagings so much. I buy my Circle Lenses from Uniqso since 2012 now and I can honestly say that they never let me down.

Review & Rating

Design:
Ok so the design REALLY reminds me of the I.Fairy Lucius Grey I reviewed in November 2015. I will review the link to them here! They barely have the same kind of pattern, only the outer ring is not pitch black from the I-Codi lenses (which I like by the way because they make them a liiiittle more natural than ultra black ones). The different shades of green make them look so interesting, so I give the design 10/10 ♥ since it blends in perfectly with my eyes and just looks stunning!

Color:
The green is not as bright as I hoped it would be and you it's more of a blueish green on my eyes. I'm a liiiittle disappointed by that to be honest, as I really hoped for a nice pair of super green lenses. But They are still pretty, so I'm not too sad. At least the different shades of green look really cool when you look quite closely at my face. 6/10 ♥

Comfort:
Here, they definitely won't get ten hearts. Nope, not at all. I wore them three times, and they were always a little uncomfortable and made my eyes tear/dryish after super short amount of time. And with super short amount of time, I mean like already after half an hour. I noticed it less or more sometimes, but I can't fully recommend them. The design is amazing, yes, and they come in super cool colors, but if you have really sensitive eyes (I do!), these are probably not the very best ones for you. If you never had any problems with dryness or teary eyes caused by circle lenses, you shouldn't have an issue though I think. 4/10 ♥

Price:
$22.90 is the usualy price range for a pair of 1 year disposable circle lenses. That's okay. 8/10 ♥

Shipping & Uniqso:
Perfect as always. Customer service on point, shipping took a little longer due to the February holidays (so like 3 weeks instead of 1 to 2), but that's okay for me. The DHL Express shipping was $15 to Germany, but you can also choose DHL Global Mail for $7.90 - it just takes some more time to arrive to you then! 8/10 ♥

All in all: 7/10 ♥

Photo Time!

  1. Oh!! I'm pretty sure I have these same lenses lying around somewhere unopened!
Thanks for reviewing! ♥ I must admit though that I thought they'd be a more vivid green, to be honest. They look more blue than green which is a bit of a bummer. :/ Oh well, I still wonder how they will look on my light chameleon eyes... XD

  4. Wow, these look so pretty! *o* I'm glad I found your blog, I have blue eyes myself, so it's good to see how the lenses actually look on a blue eyed person ♥

However 15mm diameter + 38% water content doesn't seem like a good combination. I think I need at least 42% to be able to wear lenses comfortably.

So I'm not sure whether to try them or not? :/
