Uniqso Review ♥ Lens Story Dolly+ Red ♥ Circle Lenses on Light Blue Eyes

Hey cutiepiiiiies!

Today I'm going to review these awesome, red Circle Lenses which are perfect for cosplays! (Or if you want to channel your inner vampire, of course.) I already have some cosplay ideas where I want to wear these lenses, but since I don't have any wig or costume yet, I thought about doing a fantasy elf-inspired look.

For newbies: What are Circle Lenses?

Circle Lenses are like usual contact lenses, just that their diameter is larger than the regular ones. Soft contact lenses are around 13,8 mm in diameter - Circle Lenses (which are btw always soft so they can contain more water) are often 14 mm, 15 mm or more. This makes your eyes look bigger and dollier. You can also play around with different designs and colours, so you have a great variety for makeup looks or cosplay characters. I personally wear them to enlarge my eyes because I think it looks cuter with the bold makeup I wear daily. Furthermore, they often have prescription, so if you're just as blind as me, you don't have to wear glasses, and they last about a year.

About Uniqso

Uniqso has a reeeally huge range of circle lenses, wigs, lashes, socks and cosplay items. They are founded in Malaysia and guide their shop since 2011. With over 800 different lenses from different brands like Kimchi, EOS, I.Fairy or Beuberry they are a big company with a lot of featured bloggers. I think they have really cheap prices and I heard that their wigs have a good quality as well (tiny secret hint: I'll try them out soon!). Moreover, their packaging is adorable, which is perfect for me since I love cute packagings so much. I buy my Circle Lenses from Uniqso since 2012 now and I can honestly say that they never let me down.

Rating & Review

Design: To be honest, I don't like the design of these lenses too much on light eyes! The dark inner dots really seperates the red from my light greenish blue eyes. Meh. I wish there would have been a transition instead of just a harsh edge! But at least they are dolly huge and have a bold black outer ring, which is always a plus for me. All in all, I'll give it.... 2/10 ♥!

Color: The red is saturated, which is really good in my opinion! But since so much blue/green shows of my real eyes, it doesn't seem so red anymore. You really notice it when you stand in front of me in a normal distance (like if we would talk), only if you would look at me at a greater distance, you wouldn't notice it. Then they seem kinda reddish, not super red, but at least reddish! 5/10 ♥

Comfort: They are comfortable, even though they are super big. BUT it's the first time I actually saw red on the corner of my sight. That's nothing bad, it's just a little irritating in the beginning. I got used to it like after 10 minutes, then I didn't see it anymore - It's like with seeing your nose. You always see your nose, you just don't recognize it anymore :D However, when you see the red colour on the edges of your sight, it doesn't affect your actual sight, it's just irritating at first. 6/10 ♥ because they're still comfy!

Price: $17.90 is a cheap, good deal for circle lenses, and this is why they get a 10/10 ♥ for this!

Uniqso & Shipping: Is like always a 10/10 ♥! The customer service is awesome, you get a response as fast as possible. There isn't any free shipping avaiable for this price range, but it's only $7.99 with DHL Global mail, and $10 with DHL Express. Neat!

All in all: 5/10 ♥
So, to summarize: It's fun to try out these lenses, but I wouldn't really recommend these lenses for people with light eyes! I could imagine that they look really good on dark eyes, since the transition will be much better from red to brown/black, and like I've said, the saturation of the red is good. Maybe I'll continue the search for a good pair of red circle lenses for light eyes though!
